Past

After moving to Chester from Hamburg in 1999, I attained a Distinction in a Btec National Diploma in General Art and Design from West Cheshire College. I was also the beneficiary of an award from the Freemen and Guilds of the City of Chester for outstanding work. In 2004 I graduated with a BA (Hons) in General Illustration from the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education.

Present

Currently I work as a freelance designer and illustrator based in Manchester and have worked on a variety of briefs from marketing and literary illustrations to audio CD cover designs. A sample of the work I have produced through both education and employment can be found in the artwork pages.

I am also a keen musician, and have worked on a series of atmospheric music albums. The first album of vocal work, which is now finished, has been released under the pseudonym 'SolarShine'. Samples and purchase details can be found at the SolarShine music site.

Future

I have no plans to leave the design and illustration business, I enjoy it so much, and I continue to accept commissions for illustration and design work. It was an ambitious idea to create a series of music albums, and despite the first having been completed, there is a long way left to go. I have also been writing an adventure novel in spare time.
